We only recommend this installation method for advanced users. Follow these instructions to install FluidSynth without a graphical interface or SoundFont file. You must install a SoundFont file before you can use FluidSynth (see Section 10.2.5, “Install SoundFont Files”).

Use PackageKit or Apper to install the fluidsynth package.
