3.6. RF Behavior

This section describes some of the natural behaviors of wireless or radio frequency (RF) signals. These behaviors can cause a loss of signal or other negative effects on your reception, speed, and general network performance. Knowing what they are, why they happen, and what environmental situations can cause them is helpful when you are designing a network layout or troubleshooting your connection.

3.6.1. Reflection

Reflection occurs when a signal bounces off an obstacle. This can happen when hard surfaces such as walls or desks are in the wireless coverage area.
