3.6.3. Refraction

Not to be confused with reflection, refraction occurs when a wireless signal is bent as it passes through an object, such as glass or water. As a way to understand refraction, consider what you see when you look at your reflection in a swimming pool. Your reflection may appear stretched or compressed due to refracted light signals. This happens to wireless signals in a similar way and can cause signal degradation.
